Your baby is more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango). His skin is red and wrinkled. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare him for breathing. He can swallow, but he normally won't pass his first stool (called meconium) until after birth. Loud noises heard often in utero — such as your dog barking or the roar of a vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze your baby when he hears them outside the womb.
Ok, I know it's just a drawing and not of my baby personally but I can't but think 'Look how big she is!' hahaha! I really do need to get a pic up here of me b/c I definitely show now. Yesterday afternoon my belly had gotten so hard (usually happens after I eat) that when I laughed it bounced up and down. haha! It made me laugh harder that it was doing that. But sometimes I just wanted to suck it in because it felt like I was purposely sticking my gut out there which I wasn't. Just felt that way. But you try to suck in and yeah... that belly goes no where. oh well. Junior always says, "Well honey, you're pregnant!" I know that!
